Founded in 2021, Studio Mariposa is more than a botanical design company—

it is a living meditation on transformation.

Mariposa, meaning butterfly in spanish, is such a renowned symbol. Flowers reflect that same transformation. They grow within nature, providing pollen for pollinators and eventually their life cycle comes to an end to produce seed for the next generation.

At its heart, Studio Mariposa exists to tell these stories. A reminder that change is both inevitable and sacred. I’m inspired by magnificent color. By the resilience of myself and those around me taking up space and taking shape in spite of. The floral style can be animated and unusual and always a humble collaboration with the natural. Sometimes I’ll direct a few blooms to stand tall in the vessel as if they’re still reaching for the light.

As a founding partner of Ceiba Valley Farm, I tackle life lessons one season at a time. As our Flower Manager I always strive to incorporate more local flowers into this storytelling. I’m choosing to promote living in the current seasons and to close the loop we compost discarded flowers to decompose and return back to the soil.

As a farmer and land steward, I’ve seen firsthand the power of a seed and of those who sow them.
